Cycle through history on the amazing Erie Canalway Trail! The Erie Canal has been deemed "The Canal That Made America", with over 363 miles of cycling, this tour is packed with beautiful natural scenery, remarkable US history, and the incredible aqueducts, locks, lift bridges and canal parks of the historic Erie Canal. On this journey we'll cycle the full expanse of New York State from Buffalo to Albany passing through more than 200 colorful canal communities along the way. 

Getting Here:  Tour originates in Boscawen NH. Free shuttle available from Manchester NH or Concord NH 

Day 1:  Colby-Sawyer College to Windsor, VT

Cycling:  40 Miles

The scenery of the New Hampshire country side is spectacular as you cycle your way to Windsor VT, just across the NH border passing over your first 4 historic covered bridges along the way.

Day 2: Windsor to Mascoma Lake

Cycling:  30 Miles

Today you'll enjoy cycling across 3 great covered bridges, visit the Sculpture Gardens at St. Gaudens National Historic Site and enjoy swimming in one of New Hampshire's most beautiful swimming holes! Pack a lunch for this great day!

Day 3:  The Northern Rail Trail to Wilmot

Cycling:  30 Miles

After a great breakfast you cycle the fabulous Northern Rail Trail where gorgeous scenery awaits you. Enjoy the ride, making stops in charming towns along the way tor exploration and lunch at the nostalgic Danbury Country Store.

Day 4:  The Northern Rail Trail to Boscawen

Cycling:  30 Miles

Today you wrap up your tour with you final 30 miles on the Northern Rail Trail, passing super cool Potter Place Depot, and the abandoned and haunted Gerrish Depot before dropping the kickstand at Hannah Dustin Historic site.
