    Day 1:  Arrive Wytheville

After getting checked in to our lovely hotel,  we’ll gather for happy hour to make introductions and to provide full trip orientation.

    Day 2:  Virginia Creeper

    Cycling:  37 Miles

We’ll shuttle to Whitetop Station in the Mount Rogers National Recreation Area, at very brink of the Virginia-North Carolina border and cycle the full length of this awesome trail. The Creeper Trail hails as one of the country’s premier rail-trails and is included in the Rails-to-Trails Conservancy Hall of Fame!

    Day 3: New River Trail

    Cycling: 52 Miles

Nestled in Virginia’s Blue Ridge Highlands, the New River Trail State Park offers 57 miles of mostly lush green canopy.  The minimal grade, crushed-stone trail is a joy to cycle and its proximity to the New River, (which is actually one of the world’s oldest rivers geologically, speaking), provides gorgeous scenery and the opportunity to cool off with kayak or tubing trips, or a simple plunge in the water.

    Day 4: High Bridge Trail

    Cycling:  32 Miles

The High Bridge Trail is unique in that the entire 31-mile trail is a state park, with the centerpiece being, of course, High Bridge. At over 2,400' feet long, and rising 125 feet above the Appomattox River, the majestic High Bridge is among the longest in the nation. Built in 1853, the bridge is also a Virginia Historic Landmark and on the National Register of Historic Places.

    Day 5: Virginia Capital Trail

    Cycling: 51 Miles

The Virginia Capital Trail transports you through time as it travels nearly 52 miles between the state’s first capital at the Jamestown Settlement, and the current capital city of Richmond, traversing lands first inhabited by the Powhatan, Chickahominy, and other Native Americans. The smooth, paved pathway follows the scenic James River offering outstanding views and access to many historic sites. The trail ends in Jamestown where you’ll have a chance to explore before continuing on to Colonial Williamsburg and our lodging for the next 2 nights.

    Day 6: Colonial Historic Parkway

    Cycling:  35 Miles

The Colonial Parkway is an amazing bike ride taking you through the historic triangle of Williamsburg, Jamestown and Yorktown. We’ll shuttle to Yorktown where you can visit any of the many historic sites. From there it is truly gorgeous cycling as you spend the day cycling and exploring Jamestown and Colonial Williamsburg by bike.

    Day 7: Exploring Colonial Williamsburg

We’ll have nearly a full day to complete our visit to Colonial Williamsburg before departing for Dulles Airport (approx. 3:30 PM)
